With the spring season arriving the threadfin bait schools begin to arrive on the offshore reefs. Massive schools of bluefish follow these bait schools as they migrate up the Florida coast. With an aggressive bite and moderate size bluefish offer great sport as well as a nice dinner. Inshore the sheepshead continue to be active on the reefs while the seatrout start to feed on the flats. Nice gator seatrout can be taken by jigging an artificial just above the seagrass.
The weather warms this time of year days can still be cool. Winds vary from day to day sometimes limiting offshore trips. Bring a light jacket for the early hours of the day ar an occasional cloud.
